In 2016 at least two Democrats and one Republican will vie for the open 16th District WV State Senate seat representing Martinsburg, eastern Berkeley County, and Jefferson County. David Manthos, a Charles Town geographer and technologist, will outline his plan to tackle the state and regions' public health crises, unemployment, environmental degradation, and population loss, as well as identifying opportunities to encourage growth in tourism, technology, and agriculture.
